Habitat for Humanity of Horry County Applications Spring 2017

Habitat for Humanity of Horry County will be accepting applications for the Home Buyer Program from May 1st-26th, 2017. Applicants may come into the office located at 165 Co-Op Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 from 10am-2pm to pick up an application, but applicants must have proof of 6 weeks income (i.e. paystubs) in order to complete the application. Applicants can also download a copy of our application online at www.habitatmb.org.

The attached Habitat for Humanity of Horry County cover letter and pre-application outlines the requirements for acceptance into the Home Buyer Program, details about the program, and instructions for the application process.  The Home Buyer Program is a 12-24 month program where families attend financial training classes, perform sweat equity hours, and work on the construction of their home and the homes of others. When their requirements are completed, they will purchase a simple, decent home that is affordable to them with an interest free mortgage.

These families must be willing to put in the effort to budget, pay closing costs, participate, improve their credit, and volunteer.  If you know of anyone who you feel may be eligible in your congregation or anywhere else, please pass along the attached letter and pre-application.
